Privacy policy
Leafery is a plant-care notebook for iPhone, designed so that your data stays with you.
In short
- Leafery has no account and no server. What you enter stays on your iPhone.
- Leafery collects no data: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party service that reports how you use the app.
- Nothing leaves your iPhone unless you send it yourself: an export, a diagnostics report, or an email to support.
What stays on your iPhone
Your plants, locations, care entries, reminders, light readings, photos, and settings (language, appearance, seasons and the country you choose) are kept in Leafery’s storage on your iPhone. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, iOS includes this data in that backup, under the terms of your Apple account. Deleting Leafery deletes this data from your iPhone.
Permissions
- Camera and photo library: used only when you add a photo; the picture you take or choose is copied into Leafery.
- Add to Photos: used only when you tap Save to Photos; Leafery can add a picture to your library but cannot read it.
- Notifications: reminders are scheduled on your iPhone itself; no notification server is involved.
- Leafery does not ask for your location. For Seasons, you choose a country, which stays on your iPhone.
What you can send yourself
- Exports: Settings › Your data creates a file with your collection and photos, which you save or share wherever you choose. Photos are exported as Leafery stores them and may carry details added by the camera or your library, such as the date. Anyone who receives the file can read it.
- Diagnostics: Leafery keeps a short list of recent errors on your iPhone (the kind of error and the screen, never your plants’ names or notes). It leaves your iPhone only if you tap Share diagnostics.
- Email to support: if you write to support@getleafery.com, I receive your email address and your message and use them only to answer you. Messages are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail). You can ask me to delete them at any time.
Crash reports from Apple
If you allow it in iOS (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements › Share With App Developers), Apple shares crash reports for Leafery with its developer through App Store Connect. This is technical information controlled by that iOS setting; Leafery itself sends nothing.
This website
getleafery.com is a static site hosted by Cloudflare Pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no scripts. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site.
Children
Leafery collects no personal data, from children or from anyone else.
Your rights
Apart from the emails you send to support, I hold no personal data about you. Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete those emails by writing to support@getleafery.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Who is responsible
Leafery is developed by Romain Chevoleau, an individual developer. Contact: support@getleafery.com.
Changes
If Leafery ever sends data off your iPhone (for example with an optional account), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
